SOUVOROV MUSEUM
First Russian memorial, opened in 1902 in a quasi-fortified building, specially built and financed by the public to commemorate the centenary of the death of Suvorov, this th century general known for never losing one battle. After 10 years of restoration, the museum restored its original interiors. More than 100 000 objects are exhibited, including the personal effects of the great chief of war, arms, rare books, costumes, flags, mock battles, and daily objects of the Époque era. The museum is decorated with mosaics panels depicting the 1799 campaign and Russian troops crossing the Alps. They are due to Chabounine, Popov, Zoschenko and Pridnestrovie.
