Pinel islet is a postcard site: turquoise water, coconut trees to shelter from the sun... Karibuni means "welcome" in Swahili. The place has become a must on the island and the regulars meet here on weekends. Barbecues, ceviche, tartars, tapas and large salads are on the menu every day. The star dish is of course lobster. The fish salads are excellent. After lunch, the deckchairs are ready to give you a siesta. The atmosphere is relaxed and you are always welcomed with a smile over an old rum.

Très bon restaurant. Ambiance relaxe et très bon service. Deux restaurants sont sur l’île mais celui-ci est plus tranquille car en retrait des allers et venues des bateaux qui font la traversée pour 10€ aller-retour toutes les 30 minutes.

On Pinel Islet, it is the restaurant where eat crayfish (directly caught before your eyes in the tank put in the lagoon), ribs grilled in front of you or lambis deliciously cooked. The owners have been French and are placed for 25 years on the Islet. They have a good sense of the reception (including some waiters very professionals) and an excellent sense of trade. Moreover, the small punch is offered at the end of the meal. The restaurant is ideal, on the lagoon with stunning views of St Martin. It is a little paradise!
if it is true that the place is delightful, we were disappointed by the service; difficult to find a table (, November senses low season and mondays!) endécalé service (2 people served, 15 minutes later 2 others...) and not particularly friendly
the meal is excellent and the price alla with!
