This historic fort (wooden) is located in Point Defiance Park. It was built in 1833 by Hudson's Bay Company, an English company, to allow the fur trade with Canada and compete with American companies in Puget Sound. This wonderful living museum allows us to immerse ourselves in the past and to imagine the lives of the inhabitants at that time.
