IMPERIAL & THE CROWN
Located at the Lucia Hotel in the heart of Downtown, Imperial focuses on the ingredients of the Pacific Northwest. The imperial Tuna Melt is composed, for example, of a bread filled with candied tuna, tapenade, pepper, aged cheddar, while the crispy octopus is served with chips, green chorizo, coriander. Small vegetarian dishes to share are also an excellent and friendly option. The happy-hour offers divine oysters and a small white wine at half price. If you prefer good pizzas over a wood fire or an unpretentious salad, its less formal and more New York-based neighbour The Crown in the same hotel will do. The prices are quite affordable on that side. The large restaurant room plays the postmodern industrial decoration card, with gigantic pipes running along the ceilings and a subdued atmosphere, the main lighting of which comes from the open kitchen where smoky pizzas cooked over a wood fire come out.
