CANARD & LE PIGEON
Duck has just opened in 2018. He is the slightly cheaper little brother of Pigeon, his next-door neighbour, but just as French touch. We are happy to be served local oysters at half price during happy hour (from 3pm to 6pm but also - rarity - from 10pm to midnight), roborative mini steam burgers or surprising little dishes (such as dumpling with foie gras and Périgord truffle) or Albacore tuna tartar with edamame guacamole, spicy lemon fillet and won-ton chips
The pigeon: in good French, you can laugh at this restaurant name. Excuse my french! But you won't get sucked in here. Its menu with French influences, made from local products, is refined, but the atmosphere remains relaxed. The duck breast and foie gras with truffles were excellent. It should be recalled that the house also has a top-of-the-range French bistronomy restaurant in the heart of Downtown: Little Bird, run by chef Xan Gilmartin since January 2019, who used to run the Pigeon, again with a night happy-hour.
