US BANCORP TOWER - BIG PINK

Completed in 1983, this 42-storey tower is the second largest skyscraper in Portland. The rooms, which called him Big Pink from his vitres, consider him emblematic of the city and, although Wells Fargo Tower is the highest tower, it is always Big Pink that is quoted first! The building was built by architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, with Pietro Belluschi in consultation. The latter, born in Portland, is the leader of the modern movement in the Pacific Northwest, where it will evolve all its career.
