This museum was founded in 1962 by graphic artist Rolf Klep, originally from Astoria. In 2000, he underwent a major expansion project that gave him a necessary start. The Columbia River Maritime Museum recounts the maritime history of the region, the pilotines on the river, the salmon lift, or the Columbia (lightship) Columbia boat built in 1950, which can be visited. A very beautiful museum.
