Fort Stevens, built during the civil war, is the only continental site in the United States that was bombed by a Japanese submarine during the Second World War (1942). Beaches, hiking trails and camping trails. A Clatsop Spit is the wreck of Peter Iredale's boat, one of the most photographed in the world. Thus begins the Oregon sea coast (US 101 South).
