TIMBERLINE LODGE
During the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt founded the Works Progress Administration, whose goal was to create jobs. Through this reform, 500 unemployed men and women are involved in the construction of this building. He was inaugurated in 1937 by F.D. Roosevelt and became a historic monument in 1972. In 1980, this huge cabin perched at 1828 m above sea level serves as an outdoor backdrop to Stanley Kubrick's film, The Shining.
The 70 rooms are furnished in a rustic style and combine comfort and modernity: TV and internet access on one side and dial telephone on the other. Spa, heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna. An excellent restaurant and bar complete the offer. Its unique location in the heart of the ski area, its warm atmosphere and tranquillity make this hotel an exceptional place to stay. Even if you don't have the chance to spend the night, it's worth taking a walk to visit this real museum. More than two million skiers, hikers, curious passes the doors of the lodge every year. This is one of the mythical places in Oregon.

Duchoix et des denrées fraîches. Un excellent service. Et la vue! Non sur le Hood mais sud de l'Oregon.
