IDAHO STATE CAPITOL
State building – Town Hall

In 1864 Idaho State Capitol, head of the Idaho government, moved to Boise. But construction of architects John E. Tourtellotte and Charles Hummel only began in 1906. Four different marbles are involved in this construction: red marble in Georgia, gray marble in Alaska, green marble in Vermont and Italian black marble. It is the only building in the US to be heated exclusively with water from hot springs. The impressive dome of the building is overridden with an eagle that detaches itself on the mountain landscape.
