The lake is the real reason for the tourist site. Everything revolves around this attraction. A 3 km trail on a hill, Tubbs Hill, leads to a point of view. The Lake Heart of Alene Cruises company organizes boat rides on the lake (www.cdalakecruises.com). The hotel complex on the edge of the lake has a circular wood pontoon that has the reputation of being the longest in the world (990 m). A floating golf course is laid on the lake.
