With Mathieu Deiss, the expression " good blood doesn't lie" takes on a vinous dimension! Coming from a long line of Alsatian winemakers, Mathieu is the son of Jean-Michel who manages the superb Domaine Marcel Deiss in Bergheim. In 2003, Mathieu created, with his partner Emmanuelle, the beautifully named Vignoble du Rêveur, certified Ecocert. Applying the rules of biodynamic culture, Mathieu Deiss elaborates surprising wines, resulting from a vinification in amphora and a bottling without filtration, with little or no addition of sulfur.
