Troon Country Club is an activity park located in Scottsdale, Arizona. It offers a unique golfing experience, with an elite course carved out of the desert. The course has hosted several prestigious championships, including the United States Mid-Amateur Championship, the Arizona Open, the Ping Pro Scratch and the Merrill Lynch Shoot Out. Designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, the course maintains close links with its Scottish namesake, Royal Troon, where Tom Weiskopf won the Open Championship in 1973. The course stretches from 5,160 to over 7,040 yards and is maintained in immaculate condition. The practice complex includes a double-sided driving range, two bunkers and chipping facilities, as well as a large putting green. Troon Country Club is also Audubon Sanctuary certified, which means it blends harmoniously into the natural environment of the Sonoran Desert, preserving wildlife and offering breathtaking scenery.
