I.C.I.

After more than 25 years of work and family life in Burkina Faso, a French citizen from Burkina Faso created a consulting firm in 2005: Initiatives Conseil International (I.C.I.). The team it has assembled shares the conviction that it is necessary to develop and strengthen local expertise to meet the current challenges of liberalizing the economic sector, administrative and political decentralization and redefining the role of States. I.C.I. works on development issues with the objectives of promoting private initiatives and contributing to strengthening civil society in its dialogue with the State and in its negotiations with administrations and local elected officials. To this end, I.C.I. deploys two departments that echo each other: one dedicated to studies, the other to partnerships and relationships between different actors. Some examples of I.C.I.'s services illustrate the variety of fields of study and actions that Burkina Faso offers professionally today. In its Studies Department, the team and consultants called upon by I.C.I. concerned both the contribution of craftsmanship in the valorisation of raw materials, the promotion of the "Belle de Guinée" potato, support for professional livestock breeders' organisations, basic vocational training, training for secretaries-general of town halls and regional councils, spatial planning tools at the national level, and basic care that could be covered by a national health insurance system.

Business Partner Department carries out missions to develop partnerships between brands and companies, recruit and train qualified personnel, organize events: international conferences, symposiums, etc.
