The inevitable Verdoyant offers an inventive Franco-Italian cuisine, but African specialities (famous captain's gratin!) are not to be outdone. Pizzas also make its reputation, qualified as the best in Ouaga, as well as the wide choice of desserts including an excellent lemongrass ice cream. The setting is very pleasant in a large flowered garden. And even in case of intense heat, it is possible to have lunch on the terrace, thanks to air coolers. Run by a Franco-Burkinabe couple for many years, this restaurant is also frequented by many Ouagadougou residents. Book absolutely on Fridays and Saturday evenings. A sure value and without unpleasant surprises.

This hotel has a largely overrated reputation. Characterless cuisine and high prices for what it is. The chef cusinier left!!!! and people complaining!
