CRAFT VILLAGE OF OUAGADOUGOU
Located a few kilometers south of the city center (next to SIAO headquarters) and opened in 2000, the artisanal village is the result of cooperation between Burkina Faso and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It presents, around a large central patio, many artisans from all the "disciplines" of the country. Here, too, it is possible to observe the work of craftsmen, but the layout of the site makes the place a little less pleasant than the CNAA. Its advantage is to present all the country's know-how with its 55 permanent exhibitors and 25 trades represented: work of leather, manufacture of musical instruments including djembé, foundry, batik, bogolan, wannery, weaving, stylism, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, etc. For those who do not have the time to bargain, the exhibition room has the advantage of presenting well-selected products and at the same time quite reasonable rates. Practice in case of a coup d 'heart: An automatic ticket dispenser (Visa) is ready at the entrance.
