RAYIMI MUSEUM
This museum, whose name means «don't forget» in moorness, was created by the Yisuka Naaba, a senior official at UNICEF and one of the country's most progressive leaders, who succeeded in bringing together many photographs of the colonial era, which were nearly 90 years old. In this temple of remembrance (rare in Burkina Faso and more generally in Africa!), Patrick brings you back into history through incredible anecdotes, images of colonial shipyards, masks of masks, first Catholic missions, the office of the commander and his residence… Fascinating. To shelter this museum, Naaba Saagaa also had a palace built in a traditional courtyard. The museum has 3 other rooms that show series of objects grouped by themes: masks, cotton, weapons… At the end of the visit, you will discover a flag of Upper Volta that went on the moon!
