CENTRE DE RECYCLAGE DES SACHETS PLASTIQUES USAGÉS
The association GAFREH (Groupement d'action des femmes pour la relance économique du Houet) took the excellent initiative in 2002 to create a recycling structure for used plastic bags, a real scourge in West Africa. Established in Koko since January 2015, the 85 women of this association, sometimes accompanied by their children, collect, wash, rewash (three times!), cut out the bags in a good mood before weaving or knitting them into beautiful objects. In the shop next to the sewing workshop, you can find key rings, bags, kits... An indispensable address both for its originality in the service of the environment and for its social action.
