THE BOLOMAKOTE GARDENS
Each piece of land occupied by the natives was once associated with a cultivable strip. Today, the descendants of these families grow a few early crops that will be sold on the market, a small supplement to the community's income. You can walk very pleasantly in the middle of this oasis of freshness by taking the tracks that cross it. As you walk along the way, you may meet the caiman who has taken up residence in an old (and gigantic) colonial swimming pool! Every late afternoon, the women converge on the garden centre to sell their locally produced fruits and vegetables. The gardens are now threatened because of land occupation that would be illegal because they belong to the State.
