This maze of alleys and concessions constitutes the oldest district of Bobo-Dioulasso (quite dirty, damage!), surrounded by the Houet and Sanyon rivers. It is inhabited by the descendants of the founders of the city of Sya. The guide explains the animist rites still practiced in the district, and the relationships between the different castes (natives, griots, blacksmiths...), while introducing you to some souvenir shops along the way, where he is not obliged to buy... At the very bottom of the village, the Houet's marigot serves both as a bathtub and sink. Fishing is strictly prohibited, the river is full of catfish, sacred fish that are treated here as human beings, otherwise heavy penalties are to be expected. During your visit, you may have the opportunity to attend a mask outing, which will make this visit all the more interesting and memorable. Make sure that your guide is certified by asking for his card, and make sure of the price charged, because the visit could quickly become unpleasant.

I am happy with the explanations of the guide but he asked me 10000 CFA, it did not want to lower its prices and did not let me leave before I pay. Day spoiled as well as part of the suite of my stay.

One does not allow you to walk alone unless insisting to pay for the ticket and you to provide some. Accompanied by a guide tout that finally was right of us with our second passage, we were ballotés in this tourist trap. That obviousnesses in the explanations, no " trips at the artisans" but passages of shop in store, accompanied children criallants asking their part by the gate. In short, pay place but only visit - you will not go wanting and keep a little more serenity...
