The South African NGO African Parks manages 21 protected areas in 13 countries, representing 10 of Africa's 13 ecological biomes. In Benin, the organization has been managing Pendjari Park since 2017 and W Park since 2020, and hopes to reopen them soon. It has a number of missions, including revitalizing the parks by including local communities to ensure their attractiveness to tourists. In the Pendjari, the NGO also runs the Pendjari Safari Lodge, a dream place - and the only one, in fact - to stay in the park.
