NATIONAL MUSEUM OF WOMEN IN THE ARTS
Opened in 1987, it is the only museum in the world dedicated to women artists. In 1937, Hans Hofmann wrote about Lee Krasner's paintings: «This is so good, you would not know it was painted by a woman! " Today only 5% of visible art in museums is the work of women. The existence of this museum is therefore very important… the current collection has over 4 500 pieces.
