GEORGETOWN WATERFRONT PARK
Georgetown's wharves run along the Potomac River and are ideal for pleasant walks. The park was inaugurated at the end of 2011, and has since become one of the most popular places of relaxation for the inhabitants of the capital. Most people go there to stroll, rest in the shade of the trees and try to imagine what the place looked like in the 18th and 19th centuries, the prosperous period for the port of Georgetown, where boats loaded with tobacco and slaves arrived. From here, you can also enjoy the panoramic view of the Key Bridge and Theodore Roosevelt Island Bridge.
