US NATIONAL ARBORETUM
Arboretum that houses the original columns of the Capitol, twenty-two Corinthian columns that are reflected in a pool.
This is a beautiful green lung a few cables from downtown. Here, it is more than 446 hectares of flora a few kilometers from the Capitol. It is very pleasant to stroll and stroll, especially in the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum, a botanical garden with more than 650,000 species, cherry trees and Zen gardens. The Arboretum also houses the original columns of the Capitol, twenty-two Corinthian columns that are reflected in a basin. Built in 1828 to support the Capitol porch and obsolete when the dome was installed, as they could not support its weight, they were moved in 1958 to this vast meadow called Ellipse Meadow, in the heart of the Arboretum.
