Royal Boucherie is one of the last small ones to open its doors in Old City, and it has already won all the votes. Halfway between a bar and a restaurant, the place has a long counter ideal for a cocktail and snack, and comfortable benches for a more elaborate meal. The food is French-inspired, starting with the excellent deli and cheese platters, which are accompanied by real toasted bread and not crackers as in many places in the United States. Meat dishes, from steak to pepper to sirloin, are successful, and those who love the flavours of the sea will necessarily find their happiness between lobster pasta, fish fillets and seafood. Finally, the atmosphere is made intimate and warm by the brick walls and dimmed lights.
