Located opposite the National Liberty Museum, Carpenter's Hall was built between 1770 and 1774. On the 2nd floor of this building, in 1775, the French secret agent Bonvouloir (sent by Louis XVI) met with representatives of the American revolutionary cause, Benjamin Franklin and John Jay. Members of the Continental Congress (representatives of 12 colonies) met for the first time in 1774. See (glass): the ballot box (the voting box).
