UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
It is the best university in the state, but also one of the most prestigious in the country, as it is part of the Ivy League, an informal association comprising the eight oldest private universities in the United States, including Harvard, Yale, New England, or Princeton, in neighboring New Jersey. These institutions are known for their selectivity and social elitism. Often nicknamed upenn, this university was founded in 1740 by Benjamin Franklin and is attended by more than 24,000 students each year.
On its campus there are several museums, such as the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Penn Museum and the Morris Arboretum, a Victorian-style garden that is visiting free of charge. The campus is very beautiful, with its green lawns in summer and its beautiful Victorian buildings. You can walk freely or take part in a guided tour conducted by one of the students, who will return to the history of the university, its creation by Benjamin Franklin in 1740, its traditions and academic opportunities.
