In classical style, the cathedral was built in 1864 on the model of St Charles Church in Rome. The beautiful interior is worth a visit. It has eight side chapels and a beautiful arch adorning the main altar. He was mainly decorated by Constantino Brumidi who painted the Capitole in Washington. The ceiling of the large dome (up to 47 meters) reveals a beautiful painting of the Virgin Mary's Assumption. The frescoes of the choir illustrate the life of St Paul and St Pierre. A representation of the Cène in the upper bronze relief can also be seen on the right of the nef. To learn more, you can take part in the Sunday guided tour or ask your questions at the Cathedral Ambassador present daily during opening hours.
