Named in tribute to one of the most famous founding fathers, this suspended bridge is a symbol of Philadelphia that can be observed from Penn's Landing or Front Street. He crosses the Delaware River to reach New Jersey for almost 3 kilometres. During its construction in 1926, it was the longest suspended bridge in the world. Today, almost 100 000 cars borrow it every day.
