THE ANDY WARHOL MUSEUM
Museum that gathers the most important Andy Warhol collection in the world and where you can admire some of his works.
This must-see museum dedicated to the local boy traces the life of the founding father of pop art, from his early advertising drawings to his now cult paintings, including his audio-visual work with The Velvet Underground. The tour begins on the 7th floor, with the rich collection presented chronologically as you descend. The artist's meteoric career is traced in this former warehouse-turned-museum, home to the world's largest Andy Warhol collection and some of his best-known works. Among the hundreds of paintings, dozens of sculptures and countless photos and videos, you won't be able to escape Marilyn silkscreens and Campbell's soup cans. You'll also discover a more intimate dimension of the artist, through photos of her childhood and objects that once belonged to her, including the wigs that gave her her famous platinum-blond hairstyle. What's more, you can take away your own Warhol-style screen test.
