At the end of October, this regatta takes place every year on the Charles River. It is the largest rowing race in the world with 11,000 participants, nearly 2,000 boats and sixty festivities organized around the event. It lasts two days and attracts nearly 230,000 spectators each year. Famous athletes from all over the world take part in this race, which stretches 3 miles from Boston University to the Eliot Bridge.
