THE NEW ENGLAND HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL
Six glass towers honor the six million Jews deported during World War II in Boston
The six glass towers erected in the middle of Carmen Park, a stone's throw from Boston City Hall, pay tribute to the six million Jews deported during the Second World War. On the towers are written six million numbers that were tattooed on the bodies of the victims. The modern towers contrast with the old buildings across the street. In winter, mist escapes from the gates under the towers, giving the whole complex a ghostly appearance.
