OLD CITY HALL
Building that served as the town hall until 1969 in a Second Empire style in Noston
This beautiful building, whose construction was completed in 1865, served as the town hall until 1969. Its Second Empire style stood out at the time, but was quickly taken up for the construction of public buildings across the United States. Outside, the building is flanked by two statues of illustrious men: Benjamin Franklin and Josiah Quincy. Now converted into a commercial space, it is less than ten minutes walk from the current city hall (Bostonians are not very fond of the modern architecture of the latter).
