Sixty-story tower that is the tallest tower in Boston and New England, known for its many engineering defects.
Completed in 1976, this grandiose 60-storey, mirror-like tower (formerly the John Hancock Tower) was built by the architect of the Louvre pyramid, Pei. At 240 m, it is the tallest tower in Boston and New England. Unfortunately, it has not been possible to visit it since September 11, 2001. But this skyscraper remains a must-see in the cityscape, especially on a clear day, with its reflections of the sky, its clouds and the nearby Episcopal Church, built in 1877. A fascinating combination.
