Museum that tells the story of the important role of African-Americans in building the city of Boston
African-Americans played an important role in building the city of Boston. Throughout the 19th century, many of the city's intellectuals fought for the abolition of slavery. To tell this story, the Museum of African American History was created. It comprises four sites, two in Boston and two on Nantucket Island, as well as twotrails. Guided tours are also available.
