This independent cinema is a former theater housed in a handsome building dating from 1890 and located near Harvard Square. It has a single auditorium and is one of the only cinemas in the country to use rear projection technology (the projector is behind the screen, not behind the audience). Interesting programming, a change from American blockbusters: films from the 1950s, independents and internationals in subtitled versions, as well as documentaries. Many Harvard students go there.
