ST. FRANCIS XAVIER PARISH
Church, nicknamed Kennedy Church, attended by all the members of the Kennedy clan who spent their summers in Hyannis
This is the church that Joe and Rose Kennedy decided to attend when they stayed at their Marchant Avenue home, purchased in 1928. Located less than two miles from the Kennedy Compound, St. Francis Xavier Parish soon became the church attended by all members of the Kennedy clan who spent their summers in Hyannis. In fact, it is sometimes referred to as "The Kennedy Church". Masses are held there every day, and it is possible to attend.
