John F. Kennedy Memorial
Monument commemorating John F. Kennedy, Hyannis' golden boy and the thirty-fifth president of the United States.
This monument, erected facing the ocean, recalls the memory of John F. Kennedy, the child prodigy of Hyannis and the 35th President of the United States. This great brick wall is surmounted by two bronze medallions, one representing the bust of JFK and the other the Great Seal of the United States. It faces the bay where he liked to sail. We are also reminded here that Kennedy was at the origin of the protection of Cape Cod, thanks to the Shoreline Preservation Tax (National Seashore) put in place under his mandate. This is one of the sites of the Legacy Trail.
