BRANT POINT LIGHTHOUSE
Nice Nantucket lighthouse still operational, owned by the Coast Guard.
The beautiful lighthouse in Nantucket was built in 1746, when the whaling industry was in full swing in the area.
first made of wood, then, to make it more resistant and stop the fires that ravaged it three times, made of bricks from 1856 onwards. It is still operational, although its system has been automated since 1965. The lighthouse is the property of the Coast Guard, so it is impossible to enter it, but it is possible to approach it and take pictures. There is a nice little sandy beach at the foot of the lighthouse.
