WARNER HOUSE
Historic brick house built for Captain Archibald MacPheadris, located in Portsmouth
Another historic house in Portsmouth! This incredible brick house (one of the oldest in New England) was built between 1716 and 1718 for Captain Archibald MacPheadris. Six generations of this family lived in the house, which became the Governor's residence when Benning Wentworth moved in. Three centuries later, it remains superbly preserved and provides a glimpse into the lives of its former occupants. Inside, you will see a fine selection of 18th century furniture and frescoes.
