MOFFATT-LADD HOUSE & GARDEN
Three-story house open to the public since the early 20th century, representative of Georgian architecture in Portsmouth
A Georgian residence built in 1763, the Moffatt-Ladd house was, among others, the home of General William Whipple, who was one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence. Particularly representative of Georgian architecture, this imposing three-storey house has been open to the public since the beginning of the 20th century. One comes here to admire the furniture and woodwork. Finish your visit by the very pleasant garden, which abounds with plants in summer.
