A village that allows you to live in the Shaker era and offers tours to learn about their way of life
This village of 25 original buildings provides an opportunity to experience the Shaker way of life. Tours are designed to introduce visitors to the Shaker way of life, history and values. Two tours are offered to learn about the history of the Shakers, who lived in independent, off-world communities from Maine to Kentucky. Equality of gender and race and the pooling of goods were the rules practiced in Shaker villages.
