MOUNT MANSFIELD
Vermont's highest mountain with gondolas and a 7.3 mile trail
This is the highest mountain in the state of Vermont (1,340 m above sea level). From a distance, Mount Mansfield takes on the appearance of a slightly elongated human face. A 7.3-mile trail leads from Underhill State Park to the summit on foot, and gondolas take visitors directly to the top. But whatever your means of transport, the ride is well worth it! From the top, you can admire views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Champlain. On a clear day, you can even see New York State and the Canadian mainland...
