WAT KOH
Pagoda in Phnom Penh, built at the same time as Wat Phnom, containing a small memorial to the victims of the Khmer Rouge.
It is one of the oldest pagodas in the city. It was built around the same time as Wat Phnom. It houses a small memorial to the victims of the Khmer Rouge (to the left of the entrance). Numerous renovations have attempted to correct the ravages of time and the mistakes of history. The last one, in the 1990's, was to repair the destruction of the civil war. For a long time the pagoda was used as a refuge for various animals, although this trend seems to have faded today. An interesting visit.
