Gardens in Phnom Penh designed by two high-ranking Cambodian dignitaries: Kep Chuktema (Mayor) and Hun Sen (Prime Minister).
These gardens are the result of a duel of egos between two high Cambodian dignitaries: Kep Chuktema, mayor of Phnom Penh between 2003 and 2013, and Hun Sen, the irremovable Prime Minister. While the former was redeveloping the banks of the Tonle Sap, the latter was racking his brains to find an achievement worthy of perpetuating its memory to future generations. So he had a U-shaped road built that leads nowhere! It is clean and very well lit, better than most of the other streets in the capital...
