WAT DAMREY SOR (WHITE ELEPHANT PAGODA)
This temple in Battambang is a fine example of a blend of Thai and Cambodian Buddhist architecture.
The complex deserves some maintenance work but this temple built at the beginning of the last century does not seem to be one of the priorities of the moment. A beautiful example of a mixture of Thai and Cambodian Buddhist architecture. The roof is very elaborate and the wall decorations are interesting. Some engravings are rather well preserved. Monks are still living there, which makes the temple quite lively and could lead you to meet people.
