WAT ARANH
A very pretty pagoda in Kompong Chhnang comprising three buildings: an old one, the monks' canteen and a stupa.
Wat Aranh is a very pretty old pagoda which consists of three buildings, one of which is especially old, the most modern being the monks' canteen. The large stupa which stands to the northwest of the enclosure is a sort of common grave: its upper part contains the ashes of the dead. Generally speaking, the remains of the deceased of small and medium extraction are stored in the lower part of the stupas while the important people are entitled to thefirst floor. An interesting and not very touristy visit in the city.
