BURAN PRASATE
Brick sanctuary on a terrace surrounded by a cactus hedge holding a massive lintel showing Indra seated on an elephant.
Hidden behind the bamboos, in the middle of the village, the Prasat rises on a terrace surrounded by a hedge of cactus. All around, palm trees spread their corollas in the sky. Tourists, few in number, come during the dry season. The brick sanctuary faces north, its main aisle is lined with statues and false doors decorate the walls. Only the crowning stone, carved in the shape of a lotus bud, has fallen near the entrance door. The massive lintel is placed next to the door. It shows Indra sitting on an elephant.
