Mines to the east of the old Bokéo mines, with an ensemble recalling the early days of the Trois Districts mine
Geology (and gemology) buffs will be interested to learn that another zircon mining site was established a few years ago next to the Jarai village of Katchok, a little east of the old Bokéo mines. To get there, you have to drive 39 km from Ban Lung and about 7 km from Bokéo towards Vietnam. Many small restaurants under tarpaulins. The whole thing evokes a bit the atmosphere of the early days of the Three Districts mine.
