PHNOM SIA CAVES
Caves on Sia Hill, including the White Elephant Cave, the Hundred Rice Fields Cave and the Bat Cave
The hill of Sia, the only one visible in the middle of the landscape is easy to find. The countryside is particularly beautiful when the flamboyants bloom, at the beginning of the monsoon. This place of pilgrimage shelters several caves and some Buddhist altars. The cave of the "white elephant", the most known, shelters a stalactite evoking the shape of a pachyderm. The cave of the "hundred rice fields" is so named because a hole in the wall allows to see a surrounding landscape. Another cave is home to thousands of bats.
